Ibrahim Lashin, PhD, is an experienced geotechnical engineer currently serving as an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer at BGC Engineering Inc. since January 2023. Prior to this role, Ibrahim held a postdoctoral fellowship at Université de Sherbrooke from February 2015 to January 2023, focusing on geotechnical research, specifically the assessment of shear modulus for granular soils. Additionally, experience includes a position as a Geotechnical Engineer at RBC Engineers and Consultants, and earlier roles as an Assistant Lecturer at Helwan University and a Junior Geotechnical Engineer at A&A Engineering and Consultants. Ibrahim holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical from Université de Sherbrooke, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Helwan University Cairo.
