Community Health Worker at Betty Hardwick Center

Mandy S. currently serves as a Community Health Worker at Betty Hardwick Center since March 2023 and holds the position of Chair for the Big Country Reentry Coalition since January 2022. With extensive experience, Mandy also manages office operations at B & D Salvage, beginning in January 1992, and has been a Communicator/Consultant for Regions 2 and 10 with Discipleship Ministries, The United Methodist Church since June 2017. Previous roles include Coalition Coordinator and Peer Recovery Coach at Abilene Recovery Council from December 2018 to January 2022, as well as President of Abilene Palm House from January 2011 to 2021. Additional experience includes serving as Youth Prevention Specialist at Abilene Recovery Council (formerly ARCADA), Pastor at Trent UMC, and Women's Ministry Leader at Elm Creek Baptist Church. Mandy's educational background includes studies at Angelo State University and Texas State Technical College from 1989 to 1991.
