Shira Corem's work experience includes working at BetterSeeds Ltd as the VP R&D from August 2022, and previously they held the role of Director of Genome Editing and Molecular Biology since February 2018. Shira also worked at CanBreed Ltd in R&D from February 2018. Prior to that, they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at ARO- Volcani center from May 2014 to January 2018.

Shira Corem began their education in 1999 at Tel Aviv University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology, with a focus on General Biology. This program lasted from 1999 to 2002. Shira then went on to Università degli Studi di Genova, where they earned a Master's degree in Environmental Biology between 2003 and 2005.

After completing their master's degree, Shira Corem returned to Tel Aviv University to further their education. From 2008 to 2013, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Environmental Biology.

In 2016, Shira Corem decided to diversify their skill set and enrolled at The Academic College at Wingate. Shira completed a program in Yoga Teacher Training/Yoga Therapy and obtained the certification of Senior Yoga Teacher in 2019.
