Tao Zhang is an experienced bioinformatics scientist currently working at Be The Match since September 2019, focusing on multi-omics data survival analyses, machine learning modeling for cytogenetic abnormalities, and biomarker identification. Prior to this role, Tao held positions at Baylor College of Medicine as a research associate, working with deep learning frameworks and genetic screening, and at Realgen LLC as a principal scientist, where projects included lung cancer biomarkers and newborn screening. Additional experience includes clinical and biomedical projects at Baylor Miraca Clinical Genetics Laboratory, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Children's Hospital of New Orleans, as well as early career work as a scientific editor. Tao Zhang earned a Ph.D. in Genetics from Wuhan University from 2000 to 2006.
