Camilo Avendaño is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Thoracic Surgery and Interventional Pulmonology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, with experience as a content creator for health care professionals on Instagram since June 2020. Avendaño has been an active member of the American College of Cardiology since August 2021 and the Allergy and Dermatology Research Group at Fundacion Santa Fe de Bogota since January 2021. Avendaño's involvement in medical education includes organizing several seminars, congresses, and workshops while serving in various academic positions during studies at Universidad del Norte, where a Doctor of Medicine degree was attained. Additional credentials include participation in national scientific societies and a program at Harvard Medical School focusing on clinical research.
