Luis Fernando Lopez-Roca has extensive legal and advisory experience spanning several decades. Currently serving as a member of the Audit Committee and an independent board member at Grupo Aval since April 2018, Lopez-Roca is also a partner at López Montealegre Abogados Asociados and has held the title of Best Lawyers in Colombia from 2015 to 2024. In the academic realm, Lopez-Roca has been a member of the board at Universidad Externado de Colombia and is recognized as a Professor Emeritus. With a Ph.D. in Law awarded summa cum laude from Universidad Externado de Colombia, Lopez-Roca has also held the position of Superintendent at the Superintendencia de Valores de Colombia from 1991 to 1994.
