Joel Schroeder is a Partner in Employment Law and Commercial Litigation at Best & Flanagan, having commenced this role in August 2016. Schroeder's practice emphasizes labor and employment law, non-compete and trade secret litigation, and other commercial disputes, primarily defending employers in litigation and advising on compliance with various employment laws. Prior to this, Schroeder spent nearly a decade at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, representing employers in employment-related disputes. Earlier experience includes work as a Litigation Associate at Rider Bennett, LLP, a Judicial Law Clerk for the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and a Law Clerk in the United States Attorneys' Offices. Educational credentials include a J.D., cum laude, from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Political Science and Spanish Literature from Washington University in St. Louis.
