Yasemin El-Menouar

Senior Expert at Bertelsmann Stiftung

Yasemin El-Menouar serves as a Senior Expert at Bertelsmann Stiftung since April 2014, leading the Religionsmonitor project, which explores the impact of values, religion, and cultural diversity on social cohesion. Previously, Yasemin held the position of scientific staff member at the Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge from August 2012 to 2014, focusing on migration and Islam research projects. Prior experience includes roles at Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf in migration sociology and empirical social research methods and at Universität zu Köln as a research assistant in applied social research. Yasemin's earlier career features freelance work as a social scientist at Senckenbergische Bibliothek, conducting evaluations. Educationally, Yasemin obtained a Dr. pol. in Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Cologne and holds a Magister Artium (M.A.) in Sociology, Islamic Studies, and German Studies from the same institution, alongside coursework at the University of Essex.
