Steven Dewhurst serves as General Counsel for Asia at Berkley Insurance Asia since January 2019, providing claims support for complex commercial risks. Concurrently, Steven has been a Director at CSLB-Asia since September 2012, facilitating company secretarial and professional advisory services in the Asia-Pacific region. Previous experience includes directing operations at Alliance Risk Transfer Limited for a brief period in 2021 and consulting at FitzGerald Lawyers, leading the insurance and reinsurance practice. Additionally, Steven has contributed as a Semester Professor at Bond University and as a Business Mentor for insurtech and fintech startups at Plug and Play Tech Center. Steven's extensive legal career includes partnership roles at various firms, such as DAC Beachcroft LLP and DLA Piper. Educational qualifications include an LLB and LLM from the University of Leicester and completion of the Law Society Final Examinations at the University of the West of England.
