Reiner Kruecken is a distinguished physicist with a comprehensive academic and professional background. Currently, Reiner serves as an Adjunct Professor and Professor of Physics at The University of British Columbia since February 2011 and as the Nuclear Science Division Director at Berkeley Lab since June 2022. Previously, Reiner held various leadership roles at TRIUMF, including Deputy Director, Research and Chief Research Officer, from February 2011 to June 2022, along with serving as a Special Advisor. Prior academic positions include a Professorship at Technische Universität München from May 2002 to March 2014 and an Assistant Professorship at Yale University from July 1997 to April 2002. Reiner began a career in research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from October 1995 to June 1997.
