Jaafar Chakrani

Chamberlain Postdoctoral Fellow at Berkeley Lab

Jaafar Chakrani is currently a Chamberlain Postdoctoral Fellow at Berkeley Lab since October 2023. Chakrani completed a Ph.D. at Polytechnique from October 2020 to September 2023 and has held various research and internship positions, including a research internship at CERN in 2020 and a visiting graduate student role at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics in 2019. Chakrani has experience in numerical simulations and data analysis in cosmology, as well as designing Kalman Filters for electric power steering applications at JTEKT European Operations. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics from Ecole normale supérieure and a degree from École Polytechnique, complemented by preparatory classes in Mathematics and Physics at Moulay Youssef in Rabat.
