Ernesto Paiser is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in controls and instrumentation, currently serving as the ALS Controls and Instrumentation Lead at Berkeley Lab since August 2023. Prior roles include Senior Consultant and Senior Controls Software Engineer at Lyncean Technologies, where involvement focused on developing the Compact Light Source, and Senior Controls & IT Engineer at Sigray, Inc., known for advancing synchrotron-grade research capabilities. Ernesto's experience also includes leadership as Deployment Group Leader at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and a significant tenure as an Electronics Engineer at the ESRF European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, where responsibilities encompassed control electronics for multiple beamlines. Early career contributions as an Electronics Consultant included designing critical electronic systems for various research institutions. Ernesto holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers.
