Samer Barakat is a highly experienced professional in the field of computer vision and machine learning, currently serving as a Principal at Qualcomm since February 2023. Prior to this position, Samer held the role of Senior CVML Scientist at Apple from December 2018 to May 2022, and previously worked at Intel Corporation in various capacities, including Senior Staff CVML Engineer and Staff CVML Engineer, from October 2013 to December 2018. Samer's early career included research roles at Purdue University and internships at GE Global Research and Intel Corporation, complemented by a managerial position as Software Development Engineering Manager at Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Purdue University, a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Alexandria University, and a high school diploma from Collège Saint Marc.
