Soheila Shahshahani is a distinguished academic and editor with extensive experience in anthropology, particularly focusing on the Middle East. Currently serving as the Editor in Chief of Anthropology of the Middle East at Berghahn Books Inc since 2006, Shahshahani also founded the Ethnic Groups of Iran website in 2000. Shahshahani has held the position of Associate Professor of Anthropology at Shahid Beheshti University since September 1991. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cultural Anthropology from The New School and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley.
