Melissa Vasquez is an experienced educational professional currently serving as an Instructional Design and Training Specialist at Benchmark Education Company and as an Adjunct Instructor at Edgewood College, supervising teacher candidates in bilingual and ESL education. Previously, Melissa held multiple leadership roles within the Madison Metropolitan School District from June 2010 to June 2023, including Teacher Leader for K-5 Literacy/Biliteracy & Dual Language Immersion, where responsibilities included curriculum development, professional development, and collaboration for dual language programs. Melissa began their career as a Dual Language Immersion Teacher, utilizing a 90/10 model. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Education focused on Elementary Education and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master’s degree with additional certifications from Edgewood College.
