Zsuzsanna S. Etches is a seasoned software engineer currently employed at Benchling since October 2024. Prior to this role, Zsuzsanna served as the Lead Bioinformatics Scientist at PipeBio from December 2020 to September 2024, and as a Product Owner and Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at QIAGEN between September 2013 and November 2020, where responsibilities included overseeing the CLC Genomics Workbench and analyzing next-generation sequencing data. Zsuzsanna's academic journey includes a PhD in Nanoscience (Molecular Biology) and Bioinformatics from Aarhus University, along with a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. Extensive summer research experience includes positions at the Technical University of Denmark and Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy, along with a visiting research role at Georgia Institute of Technology focused on RNA structure prediction.
