Eric Palmer is an experienced professional with a background in education and engineering. Currently serving as a Paraeducator at Bellingham Public Schools since September 2021, Eric previously held positions including Engineer In Training / Geo Field Technician at Materials Testing and Consulting, Inc., where responsibilities included geotechnical inspections and report preparation. Eric’s teaching experience includes a role as a Mathematics Teacher with the Peace Corps, focusing on at-risk youth, and as a Garden Educator at Common Threads Farm, where Eric instructed outdoor garden and cooking classes for students. Additionally, Eric has a robust engineering background, having worked as a Graduate Coastal Engineer at AECOM and as an Engineering Technician for the US Army Corps of Engineers. Eric holds both a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, specializing in Civil and Ocean Engineering, respectively.
