Laura Hardcastle is a senior associate in the litigation team. She provides advice to a range of particularly public sector clients on the regulatory frameworks applicable to them, as well as on other administrative and contractual matters.
She regularly advises on complex interpretation issues arising from extensive statutory and regulatory regimes, with her areas of expertise including electricity/energy markets and state sector legislation, as well as medicines and associated products and education.
Laura also gives general litigation and contract law advice to a range of clients, including various public sector entities and iwi organisations, as well as advising on competition law issues.
Laura was the 2018 recipient of the Cleary Memorial Prize, a prestigious prize awarded to a young barrister or solicitor showing outstanding future promise in the legal profession. She also holds a Level 6 Diploma in te reo Māori.
