Rui Hu is a seasoned data scientist with a strong background in algorithm development and machine learning. Currently serving as a Staff Data Scientist at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics since November 2021, Rui Hu previously held the position of Senior Data Scientist at Gene By Gene from September 2013 to November 2021, contributing to the research and development of algorithms, data analysis, and pipeline implementation. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Assistant in the Biomedical Imaging Lab at the University of Houston, focusing on image processing and pattern recognition, and at the Signal & Image Processing Lab at Beihang University, where Rui Hu worked on statistical models for remote sensing signals. Rui Hu holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Houston, in addition to an M.S. and B.S. in the same field from Beihang University and Fuzhou University, respectively.
