Dr. Gregory Pogue ’70 is vice president and chief human resources officer at the College of New Jersey, where he is responsible for policy, procedures, compliance, and EEO/AA/Diversity. A native of Elizabeth, NJ, he has authored numerous articles and a book, Employee Assistance Programs on Liberal Arts Campuses. Pogue currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Trinity United Methodist Church, and is trained as a Stephen’s Minister. He has also served on several advisory boards and councils including the YMCA of Union County, NJ, and Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, NJ. In 1970, Pogue earned an associate of science degree from Becker Junior College and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Nichols College, an MBA from Wagner College, and a doctorate in business administration from Argosy University-Sarasota. He is currently pursuing a Master’s of Theological Studies at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Becker College recognized Pogue in 2015 with the Gabe Simon Award (athletics) and, in 2018, with an Honorary Degree in Humane Letters.
