Rita Oliveira is an experienced professional in regulatory affairs with a focus on medical devices. Currently serving as the International Regulatory Lead at BVI Medical since June 2021, Rita is responsible for acquiring international registrations for ophthalmologic and surgical medical devices, as well as providing regulatory feedback based on distributor surveys. Previously, Rita held the position of Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Smith & Nephew, where responsibilities included updating compliant documents for the EU MDR 2017/745 regulation. Rita's experience extends back to roles at DePuy companies under Johnson & Johnson in regulatory affairs and contract paralegal positions, as well as early career functions in real estate. Rita holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and has completed a Massachusetts Academy of Real Estate course for licensure.
