Danny Blackford is an experienced supply chain professional with a focus on inventory management and strategy. Currently serving as a Global Supply Chain Planner at BVI Medical since July 2020, responsibilities include managing an inventory strategy for 2,000 SKUs totaling 2 million units annually across distribution centers in Japan, the UK, the Netherlands, and the US. Previously, Danny held the role of Supply Chain Manager at Lombard Medical Limited from June 2004 to July 2020, overseeing all supply chain aspects including sourcing, purchasing, transport, warehousing, and distribution while identifying cost-reduction initiatives. Additionally, Danny worked as a Production Planner at Scottish Courage from October 2001 to June 2004, scheduling beer production in the largest brewery in Britain. Danny's education includes training in procurement at Oxford and APICS CPIM in Supply Chain Management, alongside a foundation in brewing.
