Robotics Software Engineer at Bear Flag Robotics

Lauren Lieu has extensive work experience in the field of robotics and technology. Currently, they work as a Robotics Software Engineer at Bear Flag Robotics. Previously, they were employed at Intel Corporation from 2013 to 2016, where they served as an Applications Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for the research, development, and testing of new products that utilized Intel computing platforms. Lauren also worked at the Lab for Autonomous and Intelligent Robotics from 2012 to 2013, where they served as a Research Engineer. During this time, they led a team and conducted field robotics work in mapping underwater cisterns using a remotely operated vehicle. At Intel Corporation, they also worked as a Clinic Team Member, where they designed and developed a touch display system with multiple active displays and projection. Additionally, they have research experience from their time at UCLA, where they programmed algorithms for hyperspectral imaging and swarm robotics projects. Overall, Lauren Lieu has demonstrated expertise in robotics, software engineering, and product development throughout their career.

Lauren Lieu obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University from 2016 to 2018. Prior to their college education, Lauren Lieu attended Skyline High School from 2005 to 2009.
