Maia Akiva is an experienced educator with a strong background in early childhood education, currently serving as a Lead Teacher at Beansprouts Nursery School since September 2018. Prior roles include Assistant Teacher at the same institution and Head Counselor at Textile Arts Center. Maia has also worked as a Lead Preschool Teacher at May's Bilingual Preschool and as an Assistant Coordinator with Eastern Michigan University's 21st Century Community Learning Centers. Notable experiences include coordinating the Carlow University Summer College Program, supervising staff, and leading instructional support for students. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Brooklyn College and a BA in Photography from Bard College.
