John Mrkonic serves as a Managing Director at BDT & MSD Partners, a merchant bank focused on advising business owners and long-term investors since August 2016. Prior to this role, John gained experience on the investment team at Andreessen Horowitz in summer 2015 and worked as an Associate at Golden Gate Capital from August 2012 to July 2014. Earlier in John’s career, experience included an Associate position at The Boston Consulting Group from 2010 to 2012 and an internship in Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs in summer 2009. John holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Mathematics from Stanford University, complemented by a foundational education at Detroit Country Day School.
