Arfath Ahmed is an experienced audit professional currently serving as an Audit Executive at BDO in Sri Lanka & Maldives since February 2020, with responsibilities including the preparation and presentation of audit reports and developing annual audit plans. Prior roles include Audit Supervisor and Audit Associate at BDO, where Arfath gained expertise in analyzing accounting documentation and ensuring compliance with operating procedures. Before joining BDO, Arfath worked at KPMG as an Associate I, focusing on reviewing financial statements and preparing various audit reports, and as an Associate Trainee, participating in bookkeeping and external audits. Earlier experience includes serving as an Audit Trainee at Ghaffar & Company, preparing final accounts and ensuring compliance with tax requirements. Arfath is pursuing advanced qualifications with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and holds a certification as a Forensic Examiner from the Association of Certified Forensic Examiners. Additionally, Arfath is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka, specializing in Business Administration and Management.
