Magdaleen Roode has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. From 2002 to 2004, they worked as an HR Project Manager at Standard Bank. Magdaleen then joined MAC Consulting as a Senior Consultant from 2005 to 2006. In 2007, they joined Business Connexion as an Advisory Practitioner, specializing in reward and industrial psychology, until 2011. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Principal Consultant at MAC Consulting. In 2011, they joined Dimension Data as a Remuneration Manager for Africa and the Middle East. Magdaleen then moved to ENRC Africa as an HR Manager for Rewards and Benefits from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, Magdaleen became a Principal Consultant at Liquid Orange cc, where they worked until 2021. Magdaleen is currently working at BCX, starting in 2017 as a Senior Manager for People & Culture, and later transitioning to the role of Executive for EX, EVP & Culture in April 2022. Their expertise lies in creating and maintaining a positive work culture and environment and developing compelling employee value propositions.
Magdaleen Roode obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Human Resources Management and Services from the University of Pretoria in 1994. Following this, they completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) Hons degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from the same university in 1997. In 1998, Magdaleen earned a Higher Educational Diploma in Informatics and Business Economics from the University of Pretoria. Magdaleen then pursued their M.Comm (Industrial Psychology) degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, which they completed in 2003. Magdaleen Roode also holds several additional certifications such as being a Certified Prosci Practitioner, a Work-Life Certified Professional, and an Industrial Psychologist in Private Practice. Magdaleen is also a Global Remuneration Practitioner.
