Lauren Lee Illing

Lauren Lee Illing has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2007, they worked as a Transportation Planning Associate at the Capitol Region Planning Commission. In 2008, they served as a Sustainability Strategist at Cameron-Cole and as a Research Associate at the LSU Center for Energy Studies. During their time at the center, they contributed to several projects and publications related to energy and climate change.

Moving forward, Lauren became the Executive Director of Louisiana Clean Fuels in 2009, where they led a non-profit organization focused on clean energy initiatives. In 2012, they co-founded Econofy, a web-based startup that developed energy-efficiency software for consumers, where they acted as the CEO and co-founder.

From 2013 to 2016, Lauren worked as a Senior Project Manager at Louisiana Economic Development, managing business recruitment and expansion projects. During this period, they conducted economic impact analysis and coordinated project partners.

In 2016, Lauren joined BCS, LLC as a Lead Analyst, where they provided strategic planning, program evaluation, technical writing, and stakeholder engagement support to technology program offices within the U.S. Department of Energy. Lauren Lee held this role for over five years.

In 2017, Lauren also served as an Energy Security Fellow at Securing America's Future Energy, contributing to initiatives focused on energy security.

More recently, in 2021, Lauren became a Management Consultant at Luminous Solutions by Lauren Lee, offering consulting services to clients. Most recently, in 2022, they started working as a Strategic Planning Analyst at BCS, LLC, providing support to the U.S. Department of Energy's Water Power Technology Office.

Throughout their career, Lauren Lee Illing has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, program evaluation, technical writing, data analysis, scientific facilitation, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on energy and sustainability.

Lauren Lee Illing has a strong educational background. Lauren Lee completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Louisiana State University from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they attended the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) from 2002 to 2004, where they focused on Math and Science in their high school studies. In 2011, they furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Science degree in Business Analytics at Louisiana State University, which they successfully completed in 2012.

In addition to their academic achievements, Lauren Lee Illing holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification obtained from the Project Management Institute in March 2018.
