Samantha Powell is a skilled advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, currently serving as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Fellow at the Business Council for International Understanding since July 2023. Previously, Samantha held the position of Diversity and Inclusion Intern at Agilent Technologies, where programming was created and research conducted related to internal and external diversity initiatives. Additional experience includes an internship at Sidwell Friends School, which involved the development of a year-long calendar of heritage celebrations, as well as participation as a panelist for the NJPAC PSE&G True Diversity Film Series, focusing on youth activism. Earlier in their career, Samantha interned at Horace Mann School, contributing to research and discussions on equity and inclusion in education. Samantha holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Howard University, earned in 2023.
