Vanessa Cartwright is an experienced HR professional currently serving as the Director of Labour Relations & HR Consulting at the University of Victoria since January 2022. Prior to this role, Vanessa held the position of Director of People Services at BC Assessment from October 2013, where responsibilities included collective bargaining, employee relations, and overseeing total compensation management. With a background that also includes roles such as Manager and Compensation Advisor at BC Assessment, and various positions within the Province of BC, Vanessa brings extensive expertise in compensation strategy, organizational design, and HR technology. Vanessa holds multiple certificates in Executive Leadership and Labour Relations, with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, History, and English from the University of Victoria.
