Javier Rodriguez Soler is an experienced finance and sustainability executive currently serving as the Head of Sustainability and CIB at BBVA, where responsibilities include overseeing the Global Business Unit ESG. Previously, Javier held the positions of CEO & President of BBVA USA and Managing Director focusing on strategy, M&A, and energy banking. Earlier roles include Director of M&A and Strategy at Endesa, CFO at Buongiorno, and Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company. Javier began their career as a university teacher and served as a Second Lieutenant in the Spanish Air Force. Javier holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from CUNEF Universidad.
