Alvaro Santos Mendizabal is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in IT program and process management. Currently serving as a Global Senior Program Manager at BBVA since January 2017, Alvaro leads large-scale IT Enterprise and Strategy programs focused on areas such as reliability and cloud initiatives. Previously, in various roles at BBVA, including Global Architect Program Manager and Global IT Process Architect, Alvaro was instrumental in the transformation of IT processes and the implementation of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts. Prior experience at FREMAP and Tiscali included leading teams in cloud infrastructure development and managing data center operations. Alvaro holds degrees in Computer Engineering and Technical Engineering in Management Systems from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
