Allie (Merrihew) Heritage, MS, CGC, currently serves as a Laboratory Genetic Counselor at Baylor Genetics since November 2021, providing expert support across multiple teams, including Medical Affairs and Sales, while also educating genetic counseling students and contributing to new test development. Previously, during a brief tenure at Greenwood Genetic Center, Allie offered genetic counseling in various clinics and gained valuable experience through clinical rotations at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and as a Genetic Assistant at Greenwood Genetic Center. Allie's earlier career includes a role as a Business Development Manager at Locum Leaders, Inc., and as a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, where significant contributions were made in the field of cellular process analysis. Allie holds a Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland.
