Zhi Tan currently serves as an Assistant Professor and CPRIT Scholar at Baylor College of Medicine since December 2020, where responsibilities include involvement in the Center for Drug Discovery and working within the Departments of Pathology and Immunology, and Pharmacology and Chemical Biology, following the receipt of the CPRIT First-Time Tenure Track Faculty Award. Previously, Zhi Tan held positions as an Instructor and Postdoctoral Researcher at MD Anderson Cancer Center from August 2012 to December 2020, and also participated in a short-term role as a Graduate Research Assistant at Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Zhi Tan completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioinformatics and Chemoinformatics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston from 2012 to 2017 after earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Wuhan University from 2007 to 2012.
