Ronny Sternecker has extensive experience in library and information services, having worked at Bayerische Staatsbibliothek since September 2007 in various leadership roles including Stellvertretender Leiter Abteilung Benutzungsdienste and Referatsleiter Information und Digitale Services. Additionally, Ronny has been involved in project management, notably contributing to a mass digitization project in collaboration with Google. Since 2019, Ronny has served as a member of the Kommission für Service und Information (KSI) at Bibliotheksverbund Bayern. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Library & Information Science from Cologne University of Applied Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Library and Information Science from the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, along with training as a Medien- und Informationsdienste specialist from Thüringische Bibliotheksschule.
