Rob Webster is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in medicinal chemistry and research leadership. Currently serving as Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Bayer Pharmaceuticals since March 2013, Rob oversees a team of 25 to 40 chemists across research sites in Berlin and Wuppertal. Previous roles include Laboratory Head for various chemistry projects, where Rob led medicinal chemistry and discovery labs focused on preclinical pharmaceutical R&D and fungicides. Rob's academic background includes a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Toronto and postdoctoral fellowship at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, specializing in natural product total synthesis. Earlier career experiences include internships in combinatorial and process chemistry at Boehringer Ingelheim and Merck Frosst Canada Ltd, respectively.
