Abitha Jacob, Ph.D., currently serves as the Director of Cell Therapy Process Development at Bayer since January 2022. Prior to this role, Abitha held positions such as Senior Scientist in Cell Therapy at the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, and Cell Therapy Process Development Scientist at PACT Pharma. Abitha also worked as the Lead Process Development Scientist in Cell Therapy at Gates Biomanufacturing Facility and as a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Additionally, Abitha gained experience as a Research Associate in Sir David Lane's Lab at the University of Dundee and completed a Master's Thesis Project at NHS Tayside. Early career experiences include a student internship at Sunway Medical Centre. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Colorado Denver, a Master’s Degree from the University of Dundee, and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Monash University Malaysia.
