Sven Hurty has held a number of roles in the past 15 years. In 2005, they were the President of UCSC College Democrats, where they facilitated and moderated club meetings, organized club events, planned club strategy and direction, managed club officers and their projects, and worked with state and national club leadership to coordinate efforts. In 2006, they were the Deputy Field Director at SCDCC, where they produced phone scripts and print materials for GOTV, produced targeting universes from the state voter file, and assisted in planning and implementing the statewide field campaign. In 2007, they were the Account Executive at Terris Barnes and Walters, where they wrote direct mail pieces and plans for voter contact with targeted campaign messaging, coordinated and oversaw art, print and mail production of direct mail for political campaigns, and consulted on campaign, message and voter contact strategies. Sven was also the Online Operations Coordinator at YouTube that same year, where they responded to user technical issues, tracked key issues and site bugs to report back to developers, and monitored live site content for terms of use violations, including policy enforcement. Finally, they have been with BayCreative, Inc. since 2009, where they are currently the Sr. Project Manager. Sven has also held the role of Director of Operations and Strategic Content Editor, where they implemented copy, layout and design changes and updates to various websites, and developed marketing materials for everything from tech firms to pre-engineered metal building contractors, and wrote copy for general marketing materials, collateral and advertisements.

Sven Hurty attended Burlingame High School from 1998 to 2002 and obtained a High School degree. Sven then attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a BA in Philosophy and Modern Lit. In 2013, they obtained an Inbound Marketing certification from Hubspot Academy. Sven is also a certified Hubspot Agency Partner.
