Xavier Sevilla, MD, MBA, FAAP, CPHQ, CPPS, currently serves as the Interim Leader of BayCare’s Population Health Services Organization and Chief Medical Officer of BayCare Physician Partners, having joined BayCare Health System in May 2023. Prior to this role, Xavier held the position of Senior Vice President of Quality at the American Academy of Pediatrics from April 2021 to May 2023, and served as Medical Director Manager at Optum from June 2016 to April 2021, overseeing a team of 17 Medical Directors. Experience also includes leadership roles at MCR Health, Inc. as Vice President of Population Health Management, and at Catholic Health Initiatives as National Vice President of Clinical Quality for the Physician Enterprise. Xavier has been involved with various health quality initiatives, serving on national advisory councils and consulting on healthcare transformations. Educational credentials include an MBA in Health Care Management from Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst and an MD from King's College London.
