Head Of Facilities & Exhibit Production at Bay Area Discovery Museum

Conrad Meyers has extensive work experience in various roles within the arts and cultural sector. Conrad is currently serving as the Head of Facilities & Exhibit Production at the Bay Area Discovery Museum, where they oversee the management of a team that ensures the safety and functionality of the museum's campus. Additionally, they provide partnership to the Museum Experience team in designing, fabricating, and maintaining exhibits.

Conrad previously worked as the Gallery Director at Aggregate Space Gallery, where they curated exhibitions, managed artists and staff, and executed organizational strategies. Conrad also served as a Lecturer at Mills College, teaching courses related to their expertise in video animation.

Furthermore, Conrad has experience as a Collection and Project Manager at the Kramlich Collection, where they managed projects and collections. Conrad was also the Director of Fabrication at Local Language, responsible for creating and managing a fabrication team and improving logistical efficiency.

Additionally, Conrad has worked as a Custom Artist Object Fabricator and Designer, specializing in custom art objects. Conrad served on the Board of Directors for the Oakland Art Murmur, contributing to the development of Oakland's visual arts community. Conrad has also lectured at the University of California, Davis and served as a Visiting Professor at the San Francisco Art Institute.

Throughout their career, Conrad has demonstrated expertise in various aspects of arts management, fabrication, curation, and teaching. Conrad has strong leadership skills and a track record of successfully managing teams and projects.

Conrad Meyers completed their education with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree from the San Francisco Art Institute. During this time (2006-2008), they focused on Video Installation and Sculpture. Before that, they obtained a BA in Sculpture from the University of Maryland, where they studied from 2001 to 2006. Prior to their enrollment at the university, Conrad attended Northampton Community College between 1999 and 2001, earning an AAS degree in Architecture.
