Matthias Barth currently serves as the Head of Development at Baumüller Nürnberg GmbH, focusing on the development of electric motors, inverters, and controls for automation technology and e-mobility since June 2020. Prior to this, Matthias Barth held leadership roles at AMK Group, overseeing foundational and drives development from 2014 to June 2020, and contributed at Robert Bosch from 2008 to 2014 as a group leader in the development of steering support motors. Earlier experience includes leading electromagnetic brake development at KENDRION Binder Magnete GmbH from 2006 to 2008, managing electric motor development teams at AMK Arnold Müller GmbH & Co. KG between 2001 and 2006, and working as a calculation and testing engineer at Thyssen Krupp Elevators from 1991 to 2001, where Matthias Barth led the electric machines laboratory. Matthias Barth holds a Diplom-Ingenieur in Electrical Engineering from Technische Universität Ilmenau.
