Megan Culler

Power Engineer / Researcher at Idaho National Laboratory

Megan Culler is a power engineer and researcher currently working at Idaho National Laboratory since May 2020, where involvement includes the Cybercore Programs team focused on the provisioning and commissioning of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and assessing their resilience against cyber threats. Prior experience includes roles as a graduate research assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where projects centered on cybersecurity in power systems and aircraft communications, and internships at ExxonMobil, contributing to cybersecurity and data visualization, as well as electrical engineering projects related to instrumentation security. Additional internships at Idaho National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories provided opportunities to analyze vulnerability patterns in power grid systems and to develop software for data analysis. Education includes a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Texas A&M University.
