Kathleen Reynolds is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in academic program leadership and mathematics instruction. Currently serving as the Director of Academic Programs at BASIS Independent Schools since July 2017, Kathleen previously held the position of Specialist in High School Mathematics at the District of Columbia Public Schools, where support was provided to instructional leaders and teachers. Earlier roles include Director of Academic Programs and Mathematics Teacher at BASIS DC, achieving a remarkable 99% proficiency rate among students on the DC CAS exam in the 2013-2014 school year, along with contributions to curriculum development and teacher collaboration initiatives at Morehouse College and Georgia Tech. Kathleen's foundational teaching experience includes multiple roles in Atlanta Public Schools and involvement with Teach For America, coupled with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of Maryland.
