Dr. Lars Kissau is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the chemical industry, currently serving as an Executive Committee Member of the Global Impact Coalition since November 2023, focusing on achieving net-zero emissions and a circular future. Since February 2003, Dr. Kissau has held various leadership roles at BASF, including President of the Net Zero Accelerator and Senior Vice President of Strategic Business Development, where responsibilities have spanned marketing, R&D, digitalization, and sustainability strategies. Dr. Kissau has effectively managed business units in petrochemicals and nutrition, driving expansion and project development across the Asia-Pacific region. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Max Planck Institute, a Bachelor of Business Administration from FernUniversität in Hagen, and a Diplom in Chemistry from the University of Freiburg.
