Dr. Hisham K. Mubarak, MBA, currently serves as the Plant and Production Manager for Intermediates at BASF, overseeing operations management and the implementation of advanced automation and digitalization solutions. Previously, Dr. Mubarak held the position of Director E&I Engineering for Large Capital Projects in EMEA, where strategic leadership was provided for multidisciplinary engineering teams. With prior roles including General Manager for Maintenance and Engineering at BASF PETRONAS Chemicals and Senior Automation Manager for Manufacturing Execution Solutions, Dr. Mubarak has extensive experience in engineering, project management, and operational excellence. An accomplished academic, with a PhD from the University of Stuttgart and dual Executive MBA degrees from Mannheim Business School and Tongji University, Dr. Mubarak has a strong foundation in electrical engineering and information technology.
