Ashima Sushilchandra is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and technical expertise within the chemical industry. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering and Technical Expertise Hub for India at BASF Chemicals India Pvt Ltd since April 2018, Ashima has a comprehensive background in managing cross-functional projects, safety protocols, and compliance with regulations. Key roles include overseeing the Responsible Care® initiatives across South Asia, leading large capital projects, and previously holding positions such as Site Director and Manager for various projects. With a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Ashima's career spans over three decades and includes significant contributions to process design and safety in major petrochemical projects.
