Mads Laursen has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and data science. Mads started their career as a Student Assistant at Aalborg University in 2012 and continued as a Student Assistant in 2014. In 2014, they also began working as a PhD student at DTU Physics, where they worked until 2018. Following their PhD, they joined DTU Chemical and Biochemical Engineering as a Post doc from 2018 to 2019. In 2020, Mads joined BASE life science, first as a Data Scientist and later transitioned to the role of Senior Data Engineer.

Mads Laursen completed their education in the field of Nanotechnology. Mads obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from Aalborg University, from 2009 to 2012. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nanotechnology from the same university, from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, Mads has also obtained certifications in Python Data Science Toolbox from DataCamp in July 2019 and Introduction to Computer Science and Programming from edX in February 2013.
