Adam Muir has extensive experience in Aboriginal health and community development, currently serving as the Aboriginal Health Policy and Projects Officer at Barwon Health since April 2019. Previously, Adam held the role of Aboriginal Health Project Officer at Western Victoria Primary Health Network until December 2023, and served as a Community Development Officer for the City of Greater Geelong from May 2018 to April 2019. Adam's background also includes work as an Indigenous Employment Worker at Whitelion, providing employment advice and mentoring to young people, and as an Aboriginal Project Officer at Barwon Health, where responsibilities included reviewing the Aboriginal Employment Plan for compliance. Adam started a lengthy tenure at Deakin University in various capacities, including Project Officer and Lecturer, teaching sociology units to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Adam earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Deakin University between 1992 and 1995.
