Angel Brake currently serves as the Assistant Director of Admissions at Barton College since July 2021, focusing on recruiting students from Eastern and Coastal North Carolina and guiding them through the admissions process, including financial aid matters, utilizing Jenzabar and Fireworks CRM. Prior to this role, Angel was a second-grade teacher at Nash Rocky Mount Schools from August 2018 to July 2021, where responsibilities included participation on the MTSS Leadership team and the School Improvement Team, as well as mentoring through ClassDojo. Angel also held the position of Lead Teacher at Sylvan Learning from October 2015 to June 2018, managing student schedules and providing tutoring. Early career experience includes working as a Sales Floor Team Member at Target from July 2013 to December 2017, assisting guests and facilitating effective communication. Angel holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University, a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education and Teaching and Special Education from William Peace University, and an Associate of Arts from Nash Community College.
