Paul June is a Marketing and Product Development Executive with more than 20 years of experience in consumer products, action sports marketing, and active lifestyle marketing and product development. His expertise includes new business development, conceptualization, product development, new product launches and startups, product branding, sales management, marketing strategizing, advertising, public relations, web initiatives, and licensing. His specialties include toys, gifts, apparel, sports, and leisure products.
Prior to founding Barrel O’Monkeyz, Paul served on the executive team for Ultra Pro Corporation, a $60MM consumer products umbrella company and the world’s largest manufacturer of sports and gaming storage products. There he successfully managed a company reorganization and daily operations, exceeding corporate objectives and contributing to increasing revenue from $35MM to $60MM+.
Previously, Paul founded Vizion Products, a $1MM automotive storage company in Redondo Beach, California. He successfully generated more than $1MM per year in organizer sales, under Plasticolor, while gaining distribution into national chains. He also established Vizion’s first overseas supply chain, while developing a line of products for Pep Boys.
Paul’s was also Director of Product Management for Targus Inc./Roundhouse Inc., a $500MM laptop case company in Anaheim, CA. While there, Paul helped increase sales from $17MM to over $60MM in two years as part of an elite 8-member executive team that managed the development of 200+ branded products per year from concept to the retail shelf.
Paul also served as Creative Manager for Applause Gifts & Apparel, a $200MM toys and gifts company in Woodland Hills, CA, where he directed the creative development of 500+ licensed and non-licensed products, which generated over $30MM in sales.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing, from the University of San Diego. He is an active mentor with San Diego Sport Innovators (link) and their SpringBoard program (link), which helps many companies find funding and take their business to the next level.
